The Arabian Farmhouse desert retreat offers a unique design concept, utilizing twenty cube-shaped containers to construct a low-cost yet high-quality dwelling. This innovative approach ensures both efficiency and affordability while maintaining a modern aesthetic. The use of a combination of metals, concrete, wood, and sand creates a visually appealing and contemporary ambiance within the container home.
Glass corridors are strategically incorporated to bring in natural light, fostering a sense of airiness and connection with the surrounding desert landscape. The large pool area, accompanied by ample deck space, serves as an outdoor oasis where residents can relax and unwind. The existing sand dune landscape further enhances the sense of privacy and tranquility.
The farmhouse retreat is divided into three main zones. The private residence features five bedrooms, each complete with an en-suite bathroom, providing comfortable and intimate living spaces for the residents. The majlis, with its lofted double-height ceiling, serves as a communal area for social gatherings and relaxation. Additionally, separate living quarters are available to accommodate weekend majlis guests, ensuring their comfort and privacy.
At the heart of the home lies the main kitchen, dining, and living area, exclusively reserved for the residents' use. This central space serves as a hub for daily activities and offers direct access to the deck and pool area, which is partially covered by a canopy for shade and protection. The seamless connection between each deck creates a sense of continuity throughout the project, promoting a cohesive and harmonious living experience.
The Arabian Farmhouse desert retreat embraces both functionality and aesthetic appeal, providing a serene and inviting environment for its residents. The use of container architecture, combined with thoughtful design elements, creates a unique and contemporary desert dwelling that harmonizes with its surroundings.
