Parking Structure

The project, designed for a progressive university campus, embodies a simplistic yet functional approach. It tackles the challenge of integrating utilitarian buildings into an architecturally sensitive fabric, creating a harmonious and visually appealing environment.

To address these considerations, eight-meter-tall masks were strategically installed. These masks serve a dual purpose, acting as noise barriers while also concealing the view of parked vehicles behind them. The careful placement and design of these masks ensure that the functional aspects of the campus blend seamlessly with the architectural context.

Beyond their practical function, the masks contribute to the cultural and traditional character of the campus. Through the play of shadows created by these structures, a connection is established with the rich cultural heritage and artistic traditions. This interplay of light and shadow adds depth and intrigue to the campus, creating a visually captivating experience for students, faculty, and visitors.

The project strikes a balance between functionality and aesthetics, demonstrating a sensitive and thoughtful approach to design. By incorporating these masks into the campus fabric, the project successfully addresses the challenge of integrating utilitarian buildings while adding cultural and artistic value to the environment.
